OVER THERE

“Over There”, choreographed by Alyssa Myers, is a work that demonstrates an evolution of imperfect support and negotiation. It is meant to reflect on indecisiveness and a lack of contentment that is found inside of relationships (internal and external). Through a collaboration with Aurora Vaughan, “Over there” presents a state of perpetual change through curiosity, stillness, and interruption. Alyssa and Aurora are both graduates from the Glorya Kaufman School of Dance under the direction of Jodie Gates and William Forysthe. Through this work, these artist portray a perpetual state of exchange and evolution, the fluidity and trust demonstrated in the movements gently teases the audience... not knowing where the next movement will take them.
